THE SPACE

If you ever wished you could have a sequel to your childhood summers, this home might be your perfect beach cottage. This 3-bedroom, 2.5-bath, pet- and kid-friendly coastal farmhouse is one part playful, one part elegant, and a wholly unique setting for your PNW escape. 

LOCATION
The kid in you (and your kids) will jump for joy at the home’s proximity to the beach, communal fire pits, hiking trails, indoor pool and the Alderwood playground and more—all within walking distance. Your grownup side, meanwhile, will love the bubbling hot tub, vintage coastal interiors, and serene forest and pastoral views. The town was designed so that you can walk or bike just about anywhere in 5 minutes or less.

The house is situated right in the mix of a urbanized beach community, just 2.5 hours from Seattle. Pacific Beach is a scenic, 15-minute walk from the house and within minutes you can find a countless number of unique shops and restaurants. 

EXPERIENCES 
Surprise your group with a pancake breakfast. Sneak out to the front porch with your morning coffee and sip it in the sea air. Curl up for a cat nap in the living area, adding a fire in the gas fireplace for even more hygge vibes. Then, venture out! Stroll around the very walk-friendly town center to meet folks or find treasures. Hop on one of two Electra Cruiser bicycles for a seaside ride. Slip into a pair of Hunter boots (we provide various sizes!) and jump in puddles or explore tidepools at the beach. Close out the day with stargazing from the hot tub. And that’s just the start of how your story might unfold in in this charming farm district. 

GATHER + DINE 
We have thoughtfully designed an open-concept main floor, great for convivial get togethers with friends, family, and friends that are like family. This cozy, combined space includes the stylish living area and a fully loaded, eat-in kitchen with a four-person dining table (that expands to accommodate six) and seating for three more at the breakfast bar. Stream your favorite playlist from the Sonos speakers to accompany the meal. Wine tastings, dinner parties, and game nights can’t get much cozier than this! (If you get bored of boardgames—or your teenagers do—there’s also an XBox One.) For devoted chefs: we provide all the top-of-the-line cookware you have in your home kitchen, like La Creuset and All Clad. 

BED + BATH 
All three bedrooms are located on the second floor. Each bed is outfitted with a high-end mattress and alternative down duvets for a cloud-like night’s sleep. The master suite features a king bed and an attached en suite with a tub/shower combo. The first guest bedroom has a queen bed; the other has two twins. These two guest rooms share a Jack & Jill bath, also with a tub/shower combo. A powder room on the main floor is convenient when you're lounging or binging Netflix in the evenings. Have a spa day at home. Each bathroom features luxurious Aesop skincare products, spa slippers, and spa-quality white bathrobes to slide into after your shower. Or hit the outdoor hot tub and let the sea air add to your rejuvenation. Kismet brought me to this adorable beach cottage. As soon as I saw the distinct oyster shell path, lit by bistro lights and leading to the edge of the forest, I was utterly enchanted. You will be, too!
